"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." Ephesians 4:32 (KJV)
Heavenly Father, your word is a reminder of your forgiveness. When you died on the cross, you died for my sins; you died to allow me the chance at forgiveness and eternity with you. Lord, I confess right now that I have sinned and fallen short of your glory. God, I confess my sins to you right now (confess personal sins). And I come boldly to you now asking that you forgive me for my sins. Lord, please forgive me and lead me on the path of righteousness for your name's sake.
Ephesians 4:32 is a reminder that we are called to forgive others as you have forgiven us. Lord help me not to hold grudges against others but rather to extend the same grace and mercy that you show me. Forgiveness is not for the other person; it is for me. Forgiving others allows me to draw closer to you.
Lord, I understand that when I forgive, I am allowing you the opportunity to work in my life. Lord, please do a work in my today. Teach me to love, and to forgive others just as you have forgiven me. Forgiveness sets me free from the bondage of people and allows me to find liberty in you. God, please forgive me and allow me to extend that same forgiveness to others. I count it done in Jesus name. Amen.
