8/30/2018 0 Comments Letting Limits Drive YouThis past weekend I had the privilege of teaching at my church, and the subject I taught on was being unqualified. While it seems to be just a word, it is a word that defines so many of us. I mean when jobs turn you down, one of the first things they point out, is that compared to someone else you are unqualified. Whether it is a job, a person, an event or even yourself, we allow the situations and circumstances we are in to define not only who we are but who we can become. We become doubtful of our capabilities, and we were to believe that we are unqualified. Your un-qualifications, are the very things that make you, you. If we did not have anything to work on, we would not have anything to give. We are in a position where we can strive to work harder and be better. Instead of allowing being unqualified to disqualify you, let it motivate you to come back harder and stronger! It is important to realize that the pressure of perfection is more internal than external. We are looking to put on a show to reach others! And while it may seem like a good idea, people are not looking for you to be perfect; they are looking for you to show up and be REAL! Your flaws, are the things that allow people to connect with you! I love this quote by William Shakespeare: "Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt." When we allow our limits to get in the way, we are missing out on the opportunity. Instead of allowing limits to define you, let them push you to do and be better. You do not have to be perfect at what you do; you have to be willing to show up imperfect and work toward being better! Being better starts with you! Let's chat! What would you say is limiting you for launching into your potential?
