11/15/2018 2 Comments #ThankfulThursday-LifeThe holiday season tends to bring up a time of reflection. We begin to reflect on things that we are thankful for such as life, health, friends, and family. Over the last few weeks, our nation has been in a state of mourning and sadness as we continue to see senseless acts of violence. In the midst of this violence, one thing that I have been reminded to be thankful for is life.
We go through life and live day in and day out as usual, but we often forget to stop and thank God for the fact that we have breath in our bodies. People all over the world are dying, and the fact that we have another opportunity to be above the ground is something to be thankful for! Life is short and could end any moment, but we must truly learn to appreciate what we have and not to spend life focused on the unnecessary. The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you" (KJV). This scripture reminds us that we must learn to be thankful for everything, and that starts with life itself. Today, I want to encourage you, that no matter what you may be going through our facing, with God you can overcome. The fact that you are alive is a testament within itself. As long as you have a pulse, God has a plan. Keep walking in his plan for you today! Let's talk below, what are you thankful for? --Tamika

I'm thankful for the people in my life. My friends and people I have met recently are truly a blessing to me. God definitely sends you what you when you need it. I do not have a close knit family but thank God for my friends.
